Remembering the Palestinian Nakba

⚫ 15 May marks the Palestinian Nakba – the catastrophe – when Zionist militias killed and terrorised Palestinians to make way for the creation of the Israeli state. These acts of ethnic cleansing in 1948 led to the forcible expulsion of 800,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands. Most of their descendants are living in refugee camps to this day, whilst the Nakba continues for the those living in Palestine through everyday violence and oppression perpetrated by the State of Israel.

🗝️ Moviment Graffitti and the Embassy of Palestine – Malta will remember the 74th year from the Nakba, this Sunday in Valletta. The event will start with a short talk on the significance of the Nakba, followed by two short movies about injustice in Palestine, past and present.

🇵🇸 We will then have Palestinian food and music.

Everyone is welcome to join us. Event is free of charge.
